    Dr. Daniel Amparbeng

    Daniel, owner of Cope Counseling Services, is a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with expertise in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. He has extensive experience with college students, legally mandated adolescents with substance use disorders, individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, and parents of children with mood and anxiety.

    Daniel's counseling approach is rooted in creating an accepting and empowering environment where clients can explore their emotions and thoughts. He employs an empathic counseling style to establish a strong therapeutic relationship, facilitating positive change. His holistic approach incorporates techniques from cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy, all from a trauma-informed perspective.

    Dr. Jennifer Ojiambo Isiko

    Jennifer specializes in working with clients facing various challenges, such as trauma, PTSD, grief, bereavement, self-esteem issues, domestic violence, terminal illness, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and suicide ideation. With over 15 years of experience in Uganda and further education in the US, she has developed a counseling philosophy centered around creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their emotions and resources.

    Jennifer believes in building strong therapeutic relationships based on genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, allowing for collaborative exploration and identification of solutions. She utilizes an integrative counseling approach, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Adlerian Counseling, leading to positive outcomes for her clients.

  • Dr. Derrick Opoku Danquah

    Derrick is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with adolescents and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. He has supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, substance use disorders, and behavioral and conduct-related challenges.

    Derrick believes counseling should provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing process. His counseling philosophy is grounded in a holistic, person-centered approach that recognizes every aspect of an individual’s identity as meaningful to emotional wellness and recovery. He strives to meet clients where they are while helping them build upon their strengths, resilience, spirituality, faith, culture, and personal values.

    Derrick’s therapeutic approach is eclectic and collaborative, integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and trauma-informed interventions to support meaningful and sustainable change. He is particularly passionate about helping clients navigate recovery, emotional regulation, identity development, life transitions, and personal growth.
